PAWS 4 LOVE THERAPY DOGS
Paws 4 Love Therapy Dogs is a group of people and their dogs doing pet assisted activities and therapy work in the community. Paws 4 Love assists with preparing people and their dogs for testing, provides mentors for the first few visits, and acts as a support group thereafter.
All Paws 4 Love teams are certified through Delta Society Pet Partners. Whose mission is "improving human health through service and therapy animals". "Delta Society is an international, non-profit organization that unites people who have mental and physical disabilities and patients in healthcare facilities with professionally trained animals to help improve their health". You can learn more about Delta Society and Pet Partners, on-line, at www.deltasociety.org
Paws 4 Love is a committee of Paw Prints Dog Club, Inc. Our teams visit seniors, children and people in hospitals, hospices, adult day care centers, prisons, and mental health facilities. Along with other members of Paw Prints Dog Club, Paws 4 Love provides community service and entertaining educational programs for schools, senior and other facilities.
To be a member of Paws 4 Love, it is necessary to be a member of Paw Prints Dog Club, Inc., either as an active member or associate member.
Doing animal assisted therapy with your dog is very rewarding to all involved. We hope you join us. The general group meeting is at Knolls West residential care facility on Green Tree Blvd., at 7pm the first Friday of each month, except December and July.
